Many Deakin Wildlife and Conservation Biology students are treated to views of migrating Humpback Whales during their first year field trip to Cape Conran, in eastern Victoria. Hopefully this year the weather and whales will be kind and we will get great views.
Sitting on the shore looking out to sea, the whales are probably entirely unaware of our presence. This paper reminds us that not all human activities are “invisible” (well, inaudible) to whales. The paper is free to download.
